Technical SEO

Your content is good. Search engines just can't find it.

Technical SEO at Volta Ad is not an audit report handed over and forgotten. It's a scoped remediation project — we prioritise by ranking impact, own the fix specifications, and QA the implementation until the issues are resolved.

The challenge

Why most Technical SEO programmes underperform.

Rankings are not reflecting the quality of your content. Traffic dropped without a clear reason. A previous agency ran a crawl tool and told you everything was "fine." What they found — and what's usually true — is that the surface issues are visible but the structural ones aren't. Crawl budget waste, duplicate content at scale, broken internal link equity, JavaScript rendering gaps, and Core Web Vitals failures don't show up as obvious errors in a 30-minute audit. They show up as a ranking ceiling you can't explain.

What's included

Every deliverable. Named. Scoped. Scheduled.

Full-Site Crawl & Audit

A systematic crawl examining indexation status, redirect chains, canonical conflicts, duplicate content, internal link structure, and crawl budget allocation. Documented by severity tier.

Core Web Vitals Assessment

LCP, CLS, and INP measured against your actual pages — not just the homepage. Pages failing Google's thresholds identified with fix specifications.

JavaScript Rendering Audit

For sites with heavy front-end frameworks: a render comparison confirming what Googlebot actually sees versus what your browser sees. Critical for SPAs, React/Next.js, and dynamic content sites.

Structured Data Review

Existing schema reviewed for accuracy and coverage. Missing schema opportunities identified (FAQ, Breadcrumb, Service, Organization). Implemented and validated.

Fix Specification & Prioritisation

Every issue assigned a ranking-impact priority tier (critical / high / medium). Fix specifications written to a standard your development team can act on without a separate briefing call.

Implementation QA

After your dev team implements fixes, we re-crawl and validate that the changes resolved the issue correctly. We don't hand you a report and disappear.

How it works

The Technical SEO process, step by step.

No assumptions. No surprises. You see the roadmap before work begins.

01

Crawl & Data Pull (Days 1–5)

Full crawl via Screaming Frog or similar, combined with Search Console data, log file analysis where accessible, and render testing. No assumptions — we read the actual signals.

02

Audit Report & Severity Triage (Week 2)

A written audit with every issue ranked by ranking-impact priority. You see the full picture, not a filtered summary.

03

Fix Specification Delivery (Week 3)

Fix specs for every critical and high-priority item — written clearly enough that a developer can implement without a follow-up call.

04

Implementation Support (Weeks 4–8)

We're available to your dev team during implementation to answer questions and review fixes before they go live.

05

QA & Validation (Post-implementation)

We re-crawl after implementation and confirm each fix resolved correctly. Remaining medium-priority items are roadmapped for the next sprint.

eCommerce (Consumer Products)

The challenge

Organic traffic had declined 40% following a site migration. 1,400+ duplicate product pages were being indexed due to filter parameter URLs.

Result

Organic traffic recovered to within 12% of pre-migration levels in 10 weeks

We had a developer, a previous SEO agency, and an in-house analyst all tell us the site was technically healthy. Volta Ad found 11 critical indexation issues in the first week. The data was unambiguous.

FAQ

Common questions about Technical SEO

A crawl tool gives you data. An audit gives you prioritised, actionable fixes with a ranking-impact rationale behind every recommendation. Screaming Frog can flag 800 issues; our audit tells you which 12 are causing your ranking ceiling and how to fix them in the correct order.

We provide detailed fix specifications and QA the implementation after your team applies them. Implementation QA is included — we don't consider an issue resolved until the re-crawl confirms it.

The audit phase typically runs two to three weeks. Implementation timelines depend on your development team's capacity — typically four to eight weeks for critical and high-priority fixes.

If the previous audit produced a report but no documented implementation QA, the issues likely still exist. Site structure changes, CMS updates, and new content added after an audit introduce new issues.
